Olympics

The 2008 Beijing Olympics started this past weekend.

This 4x100m freestyle relay was so exciting I felt that I had to blog something to document how awesome it was. I mean there was no way Lezak was supposed to catch the world record holder in the 100m freestyle. I, along with the rest of the world, was ready to see the USA step onto the podium as silver medalists. But no, that's not how it worked out. Lezak swam a once-in-a-lifetime split, drafted the leader, and overtook and out-touched the cocky Frenchman by 0.08 of a second.

Did you see Phelp's expression after he realized his 8-gold hope was still alive? That's how I felt...and I would've been jumping and screaming the entire last leg of that race had my Macbook not been on my lap and had my family not been asleep. Honestly, I hadn't felt so excited about any sport in the longest time, not even basketball. It was a good feeling.

Here are some of my other thoughts of the Olympics:

1) Asian men gymnasts are SO EFFING JACKED.
2) Chinese women gymnasts are not even close to being 16 yrs old (but everyone knows that)
3) Fencing is the weirdest thing to watch. I had no idea what was going on the whole time.
4) USA Basketball? Eh, I really hope they can win this gold medal...but I'm not that confident.
5) Rowing is the most boring sport that's constantly broadcasted on NBC.
6) Synchronized diving: I'd be scared just jumping off a platform that high. Diving? hahahahaha.

That entry was messy.
Anyways, here's the video of the relay. Enjoy.

yeah...

Thursday, July 03, 2008

you know that feeling when life just isn't quite right?

...like that off-white - with the slight yellow tint...

but you just can't put your finger on what it exactly is?

or maybe you can, but just don't know what to do or how to do it.

...yeah...it's kinda like that.

.at this point last year, I lived a very different life.
